The following clothing choices reflect proper observance of the Dress Code:
The following clothing choices reflect proper observance of the Dress Code:
- A shirt (with fabric in the front, back and on the sides under the arms) If worn under other clothing may include tank tops, including spaghetti straps; visible straps on undergarments.
- Pants/jeans or the equivalent (for example, a skirt, sweatpants, leggings, a dress or shorts). May include fitted pants, including leggings (not see-through), yoga pants and “skinny jeans”; ripped jeans, as long as underwear and buttocks are not exposed.
- Closed-toed and/or activity-specific shoes.
- Hats may be worn outdoors. Students face and ears must be visible to school staff. Beanies and hoods may be worn for inclement weather.
- Religious headwear
- Images or language depicting drugs or alcohol (or any illegal item or activity), violence, hate speech, profanity, pornography.
- Images or language that creates a hostile or intimidating environment based on any protected class or consistently marginalized groups as identified by LAUSD Policy Bulletin BUL-6612.1
- Clothing that reveals undergarments.
- Accessories that would be considered dangerous.
- Items that obscure the face or ears (except as a religious observance)
